Muyeon Kim, Youngdong, organic chicken farm, 10,000 chickens, 12 years of organic poultry
Mr. Muyeon Kim has been practicing organic poultry for 11 years. His chicken houses are comfortable for chickens. He has been animal welfare certified. There were no flies, no smell, unlike ordinary chicken farm operations.
Flooring of his chicken house is a harmony between rice straw, chicken manure, and microbes. Despite the high density of chickens, the floor stays dry and clean. It was unbelievable that Mr. Kim did not need to clean the floor in 10 years. It's because chicken poop is fermented and chickens eat it again. This system has been introduced and instructed by Youngsang Cho's father, Hankyu Cho.
