JADAM Organic Farming is a community of organic farmers dedicated to the development and dissemination of Ultra-Low-Cost Organic Farming (ULC) technologies.

Founded in 1991 by Youngsang Cho, Ph.D., JADAM has grown on the foundation of the philosophy of Self-Reliant Agriculture, evolving into a global network of farmers and researchers. As of March 2025, JADAM operates primarily through its official website, www.JADAM.kr, and is supported by approximately 100,000 members worldwide.

The mission of JADAM is to return farming to the hands of farmers — to restore their sovereignty over agricultural technology, to develop a self-sufficient and affordable organic farming system, and ultimately to create harmony among farmers, consumers, and nature.
Conventional organic farming, being high-cost and overly complicated, cannot be sustainable. It places heavy financial and technical burdens on farmers and hinders the global spread of organic agriculture.

As a solution, JADAM created an ultra-low-cost and scientific organic farming system based on its guiding principles known as SESE — Simple, Easy, Scientific, and Effective.
Through decades of field research and practical experimentation, JADAM has established a comprehensive agricultural model that enables farmers to produce all essential agricultural inputs on their own.

Today, as multinational agribusiness corporations increasingly monopolize agricultural knowledge and technology, farming costs continue to rise, eroding the independence of farmers across the globe.
JADAM’s open-source, ultra-low-cost agricultural system provides an alternative — liberating agriculture from corporate dependency and restoring hope, dignity, and autonomy to farmers worldwide.

At the heart of the JADAM system lies its do-it-yourself natural pesticide technology. These formulations are safe, organic, and environmentally friendly, yet as effective as commercial agrochemicals.
They enable farmers to achieve truly sustainable organic farming at minimal cost, while even conventional farmers benefit from JADAM’s methods by drastically reducing production costs and enhancing ecological resilience.

Faithful to its founding philosophy, JADAM does not patent any of its technologies.
Instead, it freely shares all knowledge through seminars, books, and its official website, ensuring that agricultural science remains open and accessible to all.
