Namchae Seol follows Jadam pest control system. He uses herbs fresh or boiled. He also relies on Jadam wetting agent and Jadam sulfur. However, he's made his own innovations that are quite clever.
|
Rice husk charcoal is an excellent soil improver. |
His innovation is that he adds little bit of cooking oil to Jadam natural pesticide. About 400㎖ (0.1 gal) of cookingn oil for 500 L (132 gal) of pesticide. If oil is in excess, the pesticide will become sticky. That's no good. Applying rice husk charcoal on the field or rice paddy greatly improves the soil and produces much tastier rice.
