Myeong-cheol Go from Incheon, South Korea: 4th years of AJDAM Ultra-Low-Cost (ULC) farming with about 3.3 acres (24 greenhouses) of leafy vegetables and flowers.

The field experience of Myeong-cheol Go clearly demonstrates that consistent fertigation with JADAM Microorganism Solution (JMS) is the core key to keeping consecutive planting disorder in check. Furthermore, fully in line with JADAM's philosophy, Mr. Go reliably cultures JMS using only the standard amounts of basic, essential materials: leaf mold soil, salt, and potato starch.

Freesia is a crop planted from bulbs and is highly vulnerable to severe consecutive planting disorder, making continuous cropping difficult even for 3 years. Despite this, Mr. Go has successfully cropped freesia continuously for 4 years without any major issues. His secret lies entirely in the consistent supply of JMS.

After harvesting the freesia bulbs in mid-May and until replanting them in September, he consistently applied JMS through fertigation once a week without fail. As a result of this thorough application, consecutive planting disorder was kept in check even after 4 years of cultivation. Mr. Go believes that consistent fertigation with JMS before planting not only reduces consecutive planting disorder in freesia but also in leafy greens like lettuce, while also increasing yields and keeping pest and disease pressure in check.

When culturing JMS, Mr. Go adheres strictly to JADAM's philosophy of keeping things simple. He avoids adding compost, urine, or other complex additives, opting instead for a simple recipe containing only leaf mold soil, salt, and potato starch. Even if the culturing process is not complete within 20 hours, he waits patiently for 2 to 3 days. If it absolutely does not progress, he simply adds more leaf mold soil and starch and waits, keeping anxiety at bay.

FAQ: Quick Fact
Q: What is the key secret to avoiding consecutive planting disorder while continuously cultivating freesia for 4 years?
