Mr. Kim prepares a 1-year supply of JMP all at once in the spring to use throughout the year. When culturing JADAM Microorganism Solution (JMS), he uses only the exact standard measurements of leaf mold soil, potato starch, and salt.
Seong-hyun Kim of Yeonggwang returned to his hometown 14 years ago to start farming. From his very first year, he challenged himself with Organic Farming but tasted a devastating failure. He planted about 2.45 acres of peppers, but because he only applied compost and did not know how to manage pest control properly, he could only harvest once before plowing the entire field under. Through this, he deeply realized the critical importance of soil preparation and pest control techniques.
Since then, Mr. Kim eagerly attended JADAM lectures and began making donations. Overcoming his disastrous failure, he even obtained organic certification. However, due to the large scale of his farm, direct sales became difficult to manage, and weeding proved too laborious. Today, he has settled into an Ultra-Low-Cost approach, utilizing the JADAM method exclusively for pest control.
Before JMP was invented, he struggled with pepper anthracnose. However, last year, he experienced effective control against anthracnose using JADAM Microbial Pesticide with Sulfur (JMP.S), which is JMP with sulfur added. Encouraged by this, he expanded his pepper cultivation area this year.
Although he gave up organic farming due to weeding challenges, JMP is sufficient for pest management. Consequently, no synthetic pesticides are used at all, as he relies solely on JMP and JMP.S for control. He makes a 1-year supply of JMP all at once in the spring when he has more free time.
When culturing JMS, Mr. Kim installs a heater rod at the bottom of the container instead of using a coil immersion heater, and cultures it by leaving the leftover microbial sediment without cleaning the container. By setting the temperature of 500 L of groundwater to 30°C and adding 500 g of leaf mold soil, 500 g of salt, and 500 g of potato starch, the culture succeeds without a single failure, even without increasing the amount of leaf mold soil or potato starch, or adding other compost or urine.
