The fully revised JADAM Organic Farming book is now available in Korean.
Dr. Youngsang Cho, who has dedicated the past 35 years to organic farming, has completed a comprehensive 638-pages book citing over 900 references to thoroughly establish the scientific foundation of the “Ultra-Low-Cost Farming” technology he has championed. This work was crafted with immense dedication to provide highly practical and beneficial information for organic farmers in the field.
Previous JADAM Organic Farming manuals were translated into 16 languages and received international acclaim from farmers worldwide, but they faced two major barriers. To maximize pest control efficacy, farmers were required to use soft water and rely on ginkgo berries, which can be difficult to obtain depending on the region. After 3years of intense research to overcome these limitations, the ultimate innovation, JADAM Microbial Pesticide (JMP), was finally created.
Inspired by the European Union’s microbial pesticide policy, proposed as an alternative to achieve a 50% reduction in chemical pesticides, this JMP technology originated from the counterintuitive idea of utilizing various toxins found in indigenous microorganisms within leaf mold and surrounding soil. Consequently, JMP was developed to exert powerful insecticidal and fungicidal effects comparable to chemical pesticides, completely without the need for soft water or ginkgo berries. It excellently controls notoriously difficult pests such as thrips, snails, and scale insects, as well as household pests like mosquitoes and cockroaches.
More surprisingly, despite its potent pest control capabilities, JMP is ecologically safe enough to be harmless to honey bees. This technology, which has undergone cross-verification by countless farming households, does not cause pest resistance unlike chemical pesticides. Furthermore, it rapidly decomposes in the soil, turning into nutrients that actually enrich the earth. It serves as a perfect alternative for coexisting with nature and restoring a planet ailing from chemical substances.
JADAM intends to return the power of agricultural technology, once monopolized by massive capital, back to the farmers. To prevent corporate commercial monopoly, PCT patents have been filed in 157 countries worldwide, while the technology has been entirely disclosed so that anyone can easily create and use it free of charge. The past 35 years have been a journey of enduring various hardships, and financial crises, driven solely by the conviction that “ farmers must be the masters of technology.”
