The adult moth is yellowish brown with two dark transverse bands across the middle of the forewings. The larva has a black head and a dark brown body tinged with purplish tones on the thorax, with dark longitudinal stripes running along the back.
This species was first recorded in Korea in 1993. Although its detailed biology has not yet been fully described, it is presumed to produce four to five generations per year. [Source: National Crop Pest Management System, Korea]
