Non-winged adults
  The body length of a winged adult is around 3.1 ~ 4.0 mm and its wingspan is around 13 mm. It is long egg-shaped and the color of its body is glossy black. The male adult is smaller than the female one. The color of its stomach is lighter than other parts. Its wings are black and it is easy to distinguish from other specifies. there are white transparent patterns on the center of its front wing and the edge of the wing. Especially, its hind legs are long and there are a lot of hairs. The body length of a non-winged female adult is around 5 mm and black. Its stomach is fat. There are many hairs on its legs and the length of its cornicle is shorter than a diameter and it is black. Moreover, its cornicle is on the bump.

The size of its egg is around 1.5 mm and it is oval. It is glossy. In the beginning, it is dark brown and later it turns into black. The adult spawns on the stem and the pile of black eggs stays the coldest season. It hatches out from early April and moves to sprout.  After it moves, the number of nymphs increases. It appears 10 times a year. In autumn, female adult mate and it stays on the stem in a group. It spawns around 5,000 ~ 6,000 eggs and makes a pile of eggs.
