JMS failure

I am countinously doing JMS in the same blue plastic barrel, and it always produced bubbles. I am using the same leafmold source but the last 4 times of making JMS did not succeed, do these factors affect the process?

Potatoes Color is green and is sprouting.
Potatoes burned when boiling.
No stirring of Sea salt with water.
The barrel is not clean and has leftover JMS.
No additional heater is used in winter.

If not any of the cases, what may be the reason? Thank you for your help
