Eucaliptus JHS and wood ash in sprays

Hello, I'd like to know if I could use eucalyptus branches and leaves when making JHS, and if I could replace fine clay with wood ash when making JS. I know wood ash contains many hydroxides and has an alkaline pH, along with many fine particles and minerals, so, maybe it will have a similar effect as fine clay soil? Also, could i add the fine particles to the wetting agent instead of the sulfur? Thanks.
