Local herbs

I would like to control Spotted Lanternfly. The book says that I can use gingko or oleander. I do not have access to either of these herbs.

I combed through your herb book for herbs I have access to. Most of the herbs do not mention which pests they can be used on. Is this a matter of experimenting personally to discover where they will work?

I have easy access to Princess Tree, Datura, Pokeweed, Mugwort, and Japanese Knotweed. Will any of these work as an effective substitute?
