Substitutes to Jerusalem artichoke, Gingko, etc.?

How are you?

I'm located in South Africa, and would like to use JHS. However, I don't have access to Jerusalem Artichoke, Gingko, or KPFR. What can I use as a substitute? I'm having problems with looper caterpillars and cutworms.
