Summary of part of the lecture by Youngsang Cho Dec 15, 2016 at Daejeon office
All farmers yearn for a pesticide-free farming. Many believe that once the plant is strong enough, it produces chemicals to protect itself from disease and insects, thus eliminating the need for pesticide.
Unfortunately, that is not so. Do trees love their fruit? Do they want to hold on and protect the fruits? The tree is only interested in spreading its seeds far and wide. It is not interested in protecting the fruit for the human harvest. As long as you want to harvest, you need natural pesticide.
