Ms. Shin quit her job as a nurse and sold children's clothes for 20 years. Then she made up her mind to return to nature. She grows crops and makes food, especially fermented foods. Her fermented beans, herbs, and other foods are medicine-grade - it heals the people. She is proud of that. She says she doesn't work for money but as a devoted Buddhist, with a praying mind for the wellness of others. .
She does woodcraft in her leisure time. She would recite the Diamond Sutra while making the artwork.
