(Gongju, South Korea) – The Government of Uzbekistan has taken a major step toward agricultural innovation by signing a technical agreement with JADAM, a South Korean leader in Ultra-Low-Cost organic farming, to eliminate dependence on agricultural chemicals and protect public health.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan announced that it has entered into a partnership with JADAM (President Youngsang Cho) to address the misuse of chemical pesticides and disseminate Ultra-Low-Cost Organic Farming methods.
On December 9, 2025, J. Abduzukhurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, personally visited the JADAM headquarters in Gongju, South Korea, to sign the "Agreement on the Dissemination of Ultra-Low-Cost Organic Farming Technology" with President Youngsang Cho. This agreement is regarded as a highly unusual and pragmatic example of a "value alliance," distinguishing itself from traditional ODA (Official Development Assistance) which typically focuses on state-led, large-scale infrastructure. It marks a rare instance where a high-ranking government official has directly selected and adopted technology from a private Korean company.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. J. Abduzukhurov stated, "Uzbek farmers often use chemical pesticides and fertilizers without fully realizing their dangers, posing a serious threat to national health." He emphasized, "By introducing JADAM's Ultra-Low-Cost Organic Farming technology, we aim to improve awareness of agricultural safety and strongly push for a transition to sustainable agriculture." Mr. J. Abduzukhurov added that this technology paves the way for farmers to significantly reduce production costs while protecting the environment themselves.
Both parties went beyond a simple MOU and finalized a concrete Action Plan. Key initiatives include:
▶ Q1 2026: Translation of the book JADAM Organic Farming into Uzbek and distribution of official manuals.
▶ Model Farms: Selection of three model farms in the Tashkent region to begin field testing of key materials such as JADAM Wetting Agent (JWA) and JADAM Sulfur (JS).
▶ Expert Training: Selection and training of 30 local instructors (Train-the-Trainers program).
▶ Q3 2026: Operation of a practical "JADAM Field School" for farmers and agronomists.
The agreement is valid for three years and is renewable upon mutual consent.
An official from the Global Business Department of the Korea Rural Community Corporation noted, "It is extremely rare for a high-level overseas official to directly oversee cooperation with a private company and finalize such detailed action plans," acknowledging the strong determination of the Uzbek government.
Mr. J. Abduzukhurov, who spearheaded this agreement, is known as a "Korea expert" holding a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Konkuk University in Seoul. Since his appointment as Acting Deputy Minister in December 2024, he has been leading agricultural reform in Uzbekistan. JADAM is a company that disseminates technology to drastically lower agricultural production costs using natural principles. President Youngsang Cho's book, JADAM Organic Farming, is an Amazon bestseller and is recognized globally for its effectiveness.
This cooperation is expected to serve as a new model for international agricultural cooperation. It shifts the focus from capital-intensive "hardware" to practical "software" (technology), providing farmers with tools they can immediately utilize to achieve tangible results.
