There is a master Gardner I think you should visit. He’s one of those people that grows anything from apples to ginger to oranges to wasabi to blueberries in soil that is 7.0ph and wasabi that’s not grown in water. Jadam and this guy between both your styles maybe the perfect solution. His name is Paul Gautschi and uses no pesticides or any sprays not even water his plants. His wood chips keep the soil moist enough the last 40 years he’s never had to water his massive garden.
