I have longtime stomach challenges and read in the JADAM Organic Farming Book that Mr. Youngsang Cho has used JMS to help his childrens stomach troubles. I am from Canada, but am currently living in Mexico and am in the process of looking into finding a piece of land and exploring the power of a JADAM way of life. Anyways, right now I am wanting to go to the ocean and create a JMS the way JADAM teaches and using that JMS as part of the salt water added to my homemade kimchi. I am also wanting to go to the forest and create JMS and use that as a portion of the saltwater to make other kimchi. Is there anyone who has experience this way, or would advise against or give confirmation that this is safe and wise?
To be precise, it is a method that utilizes leaf mold soil, not JMS. Uncontaminated mountain soil was placed in a little water, shaken, settling for about 1 minute, filtered using a fine mesh or towel, and the water was allowed to drink directly.
I recently learned that this method is similar to the method used by Korean and Chinese monks on long trips a long time ago. It is said that monks carried soil from the area where they lived, and when they had stomach problems, they mixed the soil with water and ate it.
My family and I have had great results several times with this method. It works immediately and digests well.
I think this method can also be applied to making kimchi.
