"no winter" garden
2022-04-19 07:22:17 | read: 2117
Hello JADAM team. I have a biointensive garden on the Mediterranean coast, it is a temperate and dry climate with mild winters. The orchard is planted all year round, since we plant the winter crop on the same terrace before having harvested the summer crop. So there is no time to do the "Soil Foundation Process". In a case like mine, do you think I can apply the JADAM fertilization plan (JMS+ JLF+ Sea Water) as well?

    For farms without winter:

Use surface tillage to turn the crop residue into the top 2 inches of soil. If you need more organic matter in your soil, add some finished (aka fermented) compost to the top, (or add some grass to the crop residue before surface tillage). Water deeply with JMS.

After 3 weeks plant the next crop.

    Is this correct, Mr. Cho?

Thanks! I don't know if I'm that close to the beach. I am at a distance of 5.5 km from the sea in a straight line. It is said around here that the massive urbanization of the coast "raises a wall" of hot air between the sea and our crops that unfortunately prevents aerosols from the sea. Perhaps I can start with half the recommended dose of seawater and then adjust? Is there any specific indication in the crops to know if we have exceeded the sea water? Thank you very much as allways.

If you're on the beach, there's no reason to use seawater.
In the case of Korea, the whole area is surrounded by the sea. Near the coast, the quality and taste of almost all produce is good because seawater moves through the air to the fields.
JMS+ JLF will be of great help to you throughout the year.
