killing aphids on lettuce

Hello,
I am mixing mayonaise, JWA, and water to kill aphids.  It works great!  
I have a hard time getting the under side of leaves of small lettuce transplants sprayed. How do you spray lettuce transplants in the field?

    I have some difficulties too, but it became easier with landscape fabric.
    If you spray downwards, it will reflect and travel behind the leaves.
