Hiya,
We are successfully brewing JLF using grass and other plants. Our team are concerned that there may be multiplication or survival of parasites in the resulting JLF.
In particular they are concerned about:
Cryptosporidium parvum
Giardia lamblia
Toxoplasma gondii
Entamoeba histolytica
Escherichia coli
I know that we are all using it on edible plants/salads/grains without issue, but it would be good to reassure the team.
Do you have any experimental data or papers which show that these potential disease causing agents are obliterated or reduced in JLF please?
Thank you in advance, the JADAM ethos is so good.
Blessings,
Michael
According to the Korean organic farming standards, human waste can be used after fermenting for 6 months. This is because it has been confirmed that harmful things such as parasites are killed after 6 months of fermentation. I believe that JLF will be the same.
