I have tried multiple herbal solutions to stop grasshoppers from destroying crops and non have worked. I dont have accsess to ginkgo berries and cant find any sources online that ship them. Has any pesticide research been done by the JADAM team specifically for grasshoppers? I followed the advise in the book about finding plants that the bugs wont eat and made a herbal solution out of wild lettuce, it has been very effective in large amounts in small tests on captured grasshoppers in jars but it burns the plants, and doesn't work at lower doeses that wont burn the plants. Any advise on what plants might kill grasshoppers, or how to improve the herbal solution with wild lettuce to not burn plants but still kill bugs.
I don't have much experience conducting research on grasshoppers. It seems clear that the use of ginkgo berries reduces the frequency of locust outbreaks. When there are no ginkgo berries, the option to choose is to add caustic soda and rock powder. This method effectively controls even the most difficult to control thrips.
