Hello from Littlerock, California.
My dream is to start reforesting the desert and teaching the community to change the landscape. I've recently discovered Jadam and read the book about 2 months ago. Unfortunately, as convincing as it all sounds, there isn't a lot said in regards to climates such as mine.
I am about to move into a 10 acre land that gets 8 inches of rain per year. Humidity is about 10%avg with the addition of strong winds. Summers can go up to 100F and winter can go as low as 25F. In addition our soil is compacted sand and clay. I hear that JMS should help with loosening the soil structure. However, I'm wondering if much more is needed in a climate like ours when applying JMS. I'm thinking of using landscape fabric with layers of woodchips on top. Would this be ok? If JMS can work in a desert like this, then there is so much hope for healing the earth and reversing desertification. Thank you in advance for your advice.
