No more parasites in organic pigsSeongdu Kim, Imshil, organic pigs, 72 sows, organic swinery 30 years
ⓒ JADAM
Mr. Kim did a parasite check a year ago where his pigs produced parasites. Three months ago, he gave his pigs anthelmintics because worms (hiding in the bedding) always come back after two months. However, his parasite test results three days ago told him his pigs were completely and absolutely parasite-free!.

Activated carbon makes intestine environment alkaline
Mr. Kim says "I cannot say for sure yet, but activated carbon seems to be working in ridding the pigs of parasites. Normally, they should have parasites by now because it has been over two months since I gave them anthelmintics, but the test result returned me with ZERO parasites."

His assumption is that the activated carbon changes the intestine environment into alkaline and makes it difficult for the parasites to grow.
