Iodized sea salt for JMS

Hi,
I live in Panama, Central America. All salt here is sea salt, but all of it is iodized. I think that by law all commercial salt must be iodized….
Can I use this iodized sea salt for JMS, or will it kill the microorganisms?

    Instead of 500g of salt, you can also use 20L of seawater.
    If this is difficult, you can use iodized salt.
