2. Jadam philosophy 1: Do as Nature DoesSummary of workshop on Dec 15, 2016
What is farming? People seek answers in books, experts, and their thoughts, but rarely in the nature. Nature has farmed billions and billions more times than any human. Ask the nature. Do as nature does. Nature's methods are inexpensive and easy.

All experts promote rotational cropping. But in nature, there are neither rotational cropping nor fallowing. Why is it that a tree hundreds of years old is healthy and young, despite it being growing on one spot? Nature would have been completely destroyed if repeated monoculture did not work. We might have got something totally wrong about all this.

What are crop residues? Do not worry about returning them to your field. Do not believe in experts that tell you to remove them. The experts tell you they are source of pathogens, but in fact, they are source of nutrients. Return all crop residue back to the soil.
