Wintering Mealy plum aphid eg
Mealy plum aphid adults and nymphs suck the plant's juice on the behind of leaves. Because those nymphs are covered with wax powder, the damaged leaf looks like covered by powdery mildew. If there are too many Mealy plum aphids, it causes sooty mold due to its excretion. [Text source: Doosan Dictionary]
