Uroleucon formosanumgreen vegetable pest
The common interest among people who have a vegetable garden or a small farm is to choose a plant which does not need chemical pesticide because it is difficult to buy only small amount of chemical pesticide and they do not want to use chemical one because they are going to eat them. Therefore, their favorite vegetables are lettuce and Chinese cabbage. Unlike radish, pest appears less on them. Nevertheless, there are several insects appear on lettuce; aphids, mulberry trips, stinkbug and cucullia fraterna. Therefore, it is important to choose the best season to plant to avoid those insects. If there is wild grass like Korean lettuce or thistle around your garden,  you should cut them all. Even natural pesticide is difficult to get with small amount. Therefore, I recommend you to make a direct dealing with farmers who make natural pesticide or have one.
