Dr. Nam explains JADAM method of pest control and the experiment with peppers

Third place of visit by the Hawaiian visitors was the National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science. Here, Dr. Nam has been studying organic pepper and tomato for seven years. He's been experimenting with JADAM pesticides. Dr. Nam says that commercial organic pesticides have a kill-rate of only about 50% whereas JADAM pesticides using sunchoke, ginkgo, JADAM wetting agent, and JADAM sulfur kill almost 99%.

When spraying once a week for preventative purpose, JS is used at x500, JWA at x300. For treating heavier infestation, the solution becomes stronger to x100 and x300 respectively.

This year, aphids, tobacco moths, and greenhouse whiteflies were especially pestering. However, Dr. Nam could control them with JADAM pesticide. Aphids are exterminated with ginkgo JHS, JS, plus JWA. Tobacco moths come under control if sprayed consecutively for three times in one or two days interval. His research points to the conclusion that most pests and diseases in Korea can be controlled with JADAM method.
