Front and backside wings are white with clear dark brown on the edge of its wings. Cucumber moth does not have any pattern inside on the edge. Therefore, it is easy to distinguish with similar species. Cucumber moth's head and chest are brown and its ventral end is white.

The female adult spawns on the backside of the leaf. Cucumber moth larva eats mesophyll. When they grow up, they roll the leaf up and they become pupa there.
